This Project aims at buying school books and supporting them at a 50% rate such that the student only pays one fourth of its market price. This project also provides stationery at very low prices and free used books. More than 7000 students benefit from this project every year.
These are scholarships given to poor students who wish to attend technical schools. These are almost full scholarships as special discounts are offered by the technical school while the Zakat fund covers the rest of the fees.
The fund provides for hundreds of families, offering them a certain amount of money at the beginning of each month. Beneficiaries also benefit from other services provided by the fund, such as food rations, medicines, and school books. A follow-up for the beneficiaries of such a service takes place every six months.
This fund provides for hundreds of orphans whose ages range between 1 day and 16 years, and who live with their families. It provides monthly financial and medical aid, and food, clothing and supported school books.
Zakat fund established a medical center in Tarik Al-Jadida area in Beirut where medical services are offered by specialized doctors. Another medical center was established in association with a charity organization in the village of Ketermaya in Iklim Al-Kharroub – Mount Lebanon. The fund also supports other charity medical centers in Lebanon.
These rations are distributed twice per year including major foodstuff, textiles, home equipment and electrical appliances.
This project distributes daily iftar meals during the month of Ramadan to needy families.
This project offers machines and other instruments required for a certain profession to those who are willing to work but lack the means to buy such machines.
This project aims at distributing Eid gifts to the children of the needy and poor on Eid day. It may be a certain amount of money in order for them to buy their basic needs during that joyful occasion.
It is a project that aims at reminding people of this Prophetic Sunnah. It includes accepting sacrifices, performing slaughter on behalf of others and distributing meat to the needy.
This project offers a dairy cow which generates a monthly income to poor families through selling its milk and other dairy products. This project is supported by The Kuwaiti Zakat House.
Incomes of poor families are so low that clothing comes last in their list of priorities. Hence, Zakat fund offers a clothing program which benefits all family members, young and old.
